Out of the blue just yesterday, I was aware of a show tune dancing around in my head and the only lyrics I could extract were “can do, can do and something about a horse.” I looked it up online and found these words are from the song Fugue for Tinhorns. It brought a smile to my face and I sung part of the lyrics to my husband.
Things can get stressful quickly when it gets busy. We didn’t rotate sections there so if your section was outside on a beautiful day, you’d literally get 8 tables at once! That’s why working as a team and tip pooling worked. It was essential!
